Common questions

How does Rosie enforce staffing ratios?

You set the minimum number of staff per role for each shift. Rosie won't let you publish a roster that doesn't meet your requirements — it flags gaps so you can fill them before they become a problem.

Can it track qualifications and certifications?

Each staff member has roles assigned in Rosie. When auto-filling, Rosie only assigns people to shifts they're qualified for. If someone's certification expires, they won't get rostered for shifts that require it.

How are overnight shifts handled?

Rosie understands shifts that cross midnight. A 10pm–6am shift is treated as one continuous shift. Rest periods between shifts are calculated correctly even when they span two calendar days.

Does it help with fatigue management?

Yes. Set minimum rest hours between shifts, maximum consecutive days, and maximum hours per period. Rosie enforces all of them. If someone is rostered for a close-open turnaround that breaks your rest rules, it gets flagged.

Can I manage multiple wards or departments?

Each ward or department is a location in Rosie. You can see staffing across all of them, spot gaps, and move staff between wards when needed.
