Built for how cafes actually works.

Not another generic tool. Features designed around the problems you actually have.

Built for cafe life

Morning rush, afternoon lull, weekend brunch chaos. Rosie understands your demand patterns and staffs accordingly.

Skill-based rostering

Your senior barista on the machine during rush, the new hire on register. Rosie matches skills to the shifts that need them.

Quick shift templates

Build your ideal week once — opener, mid, closer. Reuse it every week and tweak for busy periods.

Labour vs revenue

See your wage costs as you roster. Know exactly what each shift costs before you publish.

Self-service availability

Staff set when they can work in the app. No more texting everyone to find out who's free Saturday.

AI auto-scheduling

Tell Rosie how many staff you need per shift and she fills the roster in seconds. You tweak and publish.

Sound familiar?

Real problems. Real solutions. No hand-waving.

The 6am no-show

Your opener calls in sick at 5:30am. The cafe opens in 30 minutes and you need someone who can run the machine.

With Rosie: Rosie shows who's qualified, available, and nearby. Send a shift offer with one tap — they accept in the app before you finish your first coffee.

Christmas week with casuals

You've got 3 casuals who each have different availability over the holiday period. Tracking who can work when is a nightmare.

With Rosie: Everyone sets their holiday availability in the app. Rosie auto-fills the roster around who's actually free. No back-and-forth texting.

Training the new barista

Your new hire needs to be paired with an experienced barista for their first two weeks. You can't roster them on the machine alone.

With Rosie: Set up roles so Rosie always schedules an experienced barista alongside the trainee. The overlap is automatic.

We built Rosie because we ran shift teams and hated the Sunday night spreadsheet.

Common questions

How does Rosie handle early morning shifts?

Rosie respects minimum rest periods between shifts. If someone closes at 9pm, they won't be auto-rostered for a 5am open unless your rest rules allow it. You set the rules, Rosie enforces them.

Can I roster different skill levels?

Yes. Assign roles like Senior Barista, Barista, and All-Rounder to your staff. Rosie uses these when auto-filling to make sure you've always got the right skill mix on each shift.

What about casual minimum hours?

Set minimum shift lengths per staff member or globally. Rosie won't create shifts shorter than your minimums. Helpful for casuals who need at least 3 hours to make the commute worthwhile.

Does it handle public holidays?

Rosie flags shifts that fall on public holidays so you can see the cost impact. Helpful for planning the Christmas/New Year period when every shift is time-and-a-half.

Can staff see their roster on their phone?

Yes. Staff get push notifications when the roster is published and can see their upcoming shifts, request time off, and set availability — all from their phone.

Is there a free trial?

“I managed a cafe with 15 staff. Every Sunday I'd spend 3 hours on a spreadsheet — texting people, counting hours, redoing it all when someone called in sick. I knew the maths could be automated. So I built Rosie.”

Rosie uses constraint-solving algorithms from airline crew scheduling. It's not a template filler — it finds the best valid schedule for your rules, every time.

Stop spending Sunday on next week's roster.
