For Aged Care teams
Safe, compliant rosters for care teams.
Meet caregiver ratios, manage qualifications, and distribute overnight shifts fairly. Because your residents deserve consistent care.
Built for how aged care actually works.
Not another generic tool. Features designed around the problems you actually have.
Ratio compliance
Set minimum staff per role for every shift. Rosie flags gaps before you publish — no more scrambling when the auditor arrives.
Qualification-aware rostering
Only qualified caregivers get rostered for shifts that need them. Medication-certified, first aid, senior care — Rosie checks it all.
Fatigue management
Minimum rest periods between shifts are enforced automatically. No one gets a close-open turnaround that puts residents at risk.
Multi-ward coverage
Manage wards, wings, and sites from one dashboard. Spot coverage gaps across the entire facility at a glance.
Gap alerts
Get notified when a shift is understaffed or a required qualification is missing. Fix it before it becomes a safety issue.
Fair rotation
Distribute nights, weekends, and holidays fairly across the team. Everyone can see the data — no more favouritism claims.
Sound familiar?
Real problems. Real solutions. No hand-waving.
Meeting overnight ratios
You need 2 registered nurses and 4 caregivers on every night shift. One RN just went on leave and your casual pool is thin.
With Rosie: Rosie flags the gap immediately and shows you every qualified, available person who can fill it. Send the shift offer with one tap.
The 5am sick call
A caregiver calls in sick an hour before the morning handover. You need a qualified replacement before the night team finishes.
With Rosie: Rosie instantly shows who's qualified, available, and hasn't hit their hour limits. No phone tree — one tap sends the offer.
Fair Christmas allocation
Every year the same people end up working Christmas Day and New Year's. Your team notices and resentment builds.
With Rosie: Rosie tracks who worked public holidays previously and distributes them fairly. The data is transparent — everyone can see it's equitable.
The old way vs Rosie.
You already know the pain. Here's what changes.

Sound familiar?
Every shift manager knows these problems. Here's what changes with Rosie.
Spend 3+ hours every Sunday building next week's roster in a spreadsheet
Auto-fill builds the full week in under 60 seconds. Publish in two clicks.
"Can you work Tuesday?" texts flying around after you've already published
Staff set their own availability. Rosie respects it automatically — no back and forth.
Manually counting hours to avoid overtime blowouts and award breaches
Max hours, minimum rest, consecutive day limits — enforced every single time.
Someone calls in sick and you're scrambling to cover the shift at 6am
See who's available and qualified instantly. Reassign with one tap.
Spreadsheets vs Rosie
Side by side, it's not even close.
We built Rosie because we ran shift teams and hated the Sunday night spreadsheet.
Common questions
How does Rosie enforce caregiver-to-resident ratios?
You set the minimum number of staff per role for each shift type. When auto-filling or manually editing, Rosie checks these requirements and flags any shift that doesn't meet them. You can't accidentally under-staff.
Can it handle different qualification requirements?
Yes. Assign roles and qualifications to each staff member — medication-certified, first aid, dementia care, etc. Rosie only assigns people to shifts that match their qualifications.
How are overnight shifts managed?
Rosie handles shifts that cross midnight (e.g., 10pm–6am) correctly. Rest periods are calculated properly, and night shift distribution is tracked for fairness across the team.
Does it track fatigue and rest periods?
Set your minimum rest hours between shifts, maximum consecutive days, and weekly hour limits. Rosie enforces all of them and flags any violations before the roster is published.
Can I manage multiple facilities?
Each facility or ward is a location in Rosie. You see all of them in one dashboard, spot gaps across sites, and move staff between locations when needed.

“I managed a cafe with 15 staff. Every Sunday I'd spend 3 hours on a spreadsheet — texting people, counting hours, redoing it all when someone called in sick. I knew the maths could be automated. So I built Rosie.”
Rosie uses constraint-solving algorithms from airline crew scheduling. It's not a template filler — it finds the best valid schedule for your rules, every time.
Your residents deserve safe, fair rosters.
